There was a small surprise in Corugate where thirteenth ranked Carugate (3-8) won against 11th ranked Scrivia (3-9) 68-54 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-54. Carugate dominated on the defensive end, holding Scrivia to just 7 points in third and fourth quarters. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Carugate forced 19 Scrivia turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Michela Frantini (175-83) who scored 14 points and 4 assists. The former international guard Susanna Stabile (178-80) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Scrivia will play against Team Crema (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
