Bottom-ranked AZS AWF Mick. managed to get a fourth victory on Saturday night. This time newly promoted AZS AWF Mick. won against twelfth-ranked Biofarm PZN in Katowice 89-78. AZS AWF Mick. forced 19 Biofarm PZN turnovers. It was a great shooting night for AZS AWF Mick. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a good game for Mariusz Piotrkowski (198-84) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Kamil Nowak (197-88) contributed with 20 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Center Adam Metelski (206-83, college: Cal-Irvine) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) added 17 points in the effort for Biofarm PZN. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AZS AWF Mick. (4-11) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Biofarm PZN. AZS AWF Mick. is looking forward to face higher ranked Legia W-wa (#3) in Warszawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Biofarm PZN will play on the road against GKS Tychy (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
