Regular Season Round 12: El Olivar - Moron 68-52

We should mention about the upset which took place in Zaragoza, where higher ranked Moron (6-6) lost to thirteenth ranked El Olivar (5-7) in a road game 52-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by El Olivar. Moron managed to win third quarter 23-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian forward Zygimantas Riauka (206-93, college: Wisc.-Parkside) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Sergi Garcia (191-97) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Mike Phillips (201-91, college: Howard) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Javier Marin (190-92) scored 7 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. El Olivar moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Cambados. Moron lost fourth consecutive game. Moron at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Granada and Tarragona. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
