Regular Season Round 21: Fujitsu RW - Chanson V-M 80-67

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Fujitsu RW (15-4) beat second-best Chanson V-M (15-4) in Kawasaki 80-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. Chanson V-M was better in fourth quarter 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Fujitsu RW especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) who led her team to a victory with 29 points and 9 rebounds. International point guard Rui Machida (161-93) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. Center Miyuki Kawamura (183-94) answered with 26 points and 7 rebounds and international forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Chanson V-M. Fujitsu RW moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Chanson V-M. Fujitsu RW will face again Chanson V-M (#3) in Shizuoka in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
