Regular Season Round 12: Kotwica - AZS PGd 73-69

An interesting game for Kotwica (11-1) which hosted in Kolobrzeg 4th ranked AZS PGd (8-4). First ranked Kotwica managed to get a 4-point victory 73-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AZS PGd. Kotwica forced 19 AZS PGd turnovers. Strangely AZS PGd outrebounded Kotwica 44-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Grzegorz Arabas (191-78, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with 23 points. Point guard Dawid Mieczkowski (188-89, agency: Promotex) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Aleksander Lebiedzinski (195-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and center Przemyslaw Rduch (208-86) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for AZS PGd. Four AZS PGd players scored in double figures. AZS PGd's coach Marek Iglinski let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kotwica have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 11-1 record. Loser AZS PGd keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Kotwica will face Trefl II Sopot (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS PGd will play against Asseco II (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
