Regular Season Round 13: Mola - Monteroni 88-81

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Mola (4-8) defeated at home higher ranked Monteroni (5-8) 88-81 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and won the game by 7 points. Nicola Bastone (195-92) stepped up and scored 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and forward Federico Angelini (203-94) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. At the losing side center Manuele Mocavero (203-80) responded with 29 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and Alessandro Poti scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mola moved-up to twelfth place in B. Loser Monteroni keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Mola will face higher ranked Senigallia (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
