The game in Lodz supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Gdynia (8-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Widzew (5-8). Gdynia smashed Widzew 99-59. The game without a history. Gdynia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Gdynia outrebounded Widzew 43-20 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Widzew's players. Point guard Katarzyna Suknarowska (169-87, agency: Promotex) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Montenegrin guard Jelena Skerovic (176-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Five Gdynia players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gdynia maintains fifth place with 8-4 record. Widzew at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Gdynia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Widzew will play on the road against Sleza Wroclaw (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
