Regular Season Round 12: Cordoba - Andujar 53-65

There was a minor upset when second-best Cordoba (6-3) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Andujar (5-3) 65-53 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Andujar. Cordoba was better in fourth quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Andujar held Cordoba to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.1 percent accuracy of the winners. The best player for the winners was forward David Suka-Umu (197-77) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Rafael Ramos (195-86) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jose Medina (185-93) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and guard Arturo Lopez (188-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Andujar maintains fourth position in Group D-East with 5-3 record. Loser Cordoba dropped to the third place with three games lost. Andujar will face Velez (#5) in Velez-Malaga in the next round. Cordoba will play on the road against Novaschool in Malaga and hope to win that game.
