Regular Season Round 12: Huelva - Sevilla II 63-58

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Sevilla II (0-3) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Huelva (5-3) 63-58 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 63-58. Huelva forced 23 Sevilla II turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Pablo Hitos (194-88) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Fulgencio Casanova (195-86) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Alejandro Rodriguez who recorded 12 points and 7 rebounds and Juan Lopez added 10 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Huelva have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group D-West, which they share with San Juan. Loser Sevilla II still closes the standings with three games lost. Huelva will face San Juan (#4) in San Juan del Puerto in the next round.
