Regular Season Round 14: Penas Huesca - Prat 70-69

Sixteenth-ranked CB Prat (2-12) made lots of trouble for ninth ranked Lobe Huesca (7-7) on Sunday. Lobe Huesca managed to secure only one-point victory 70-69. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But CB Prat won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded CB Prat 43-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Lithuanian forward Gabas Maldunas (206-93, college: Dartmouth) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Xavier Forcada (194-88) produced 16 points and 6 assists and power forward Gerbert Marti (203-91) added 5 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lobe Huesca have a solid three-game winning streak. Lobe Huesca moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Breogan. Loser CB Prat stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Lobe Huesca will face Cocinas.com (#14) in Logrono in the next round where they are favorite. CB Prat will play at home against Ourense and hope to win that game.
