The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Grissin Bon RE as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Grissin Bon RE smashed 10th ranked Juvecaserta in Reggio Emilia 87-62. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with EA7 Armani and Vanoli CR. Juvecaserta at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost.
