Regular Season Round 12: EA7 Armani - Enel Brindisi 77-72
Date: December 20, 2015
Very expected game when 8th ranked Enel Brindisi (6-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Armani Milano (9-3) 77-72 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Enel Brindisi won third quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Armani Milano won last quarter 25-22. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Enel Brindisi to just 7 points in first quarter. Armani Milano made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian Milan Macvan (206-89) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and Croatian swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85) who added 19 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Cameroonian power forward Kenny Kadji (211-88, college: Miami, FL) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Adrian Banks (191-86, college: NW Mississippi CC) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Enel Brindisi's coach Pier Luigi Bucchi tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Armani Milano keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Grissin Bon RE and Vanoli CR. Loser Enel Brindisi keeps the eighth place with six games lost. Armani Milano will face VL Pesaro (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Enel Brindisi will play against Auxilium TO (#16) and hope to win that game.
