Regular Season Round 13: Catanzaro - Palestrina 85-87

A very close game took place in Catanzaro between Palestrina and Catanzaro. Third ranked Palestrina (10-3) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Catanzaro (8-5). Palestrina managed to escape with a 2-point win 87-85 on Sunday evening. Point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) fired 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Simone Rischia (185-90) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Gianluca Carpanzano (188-95) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Giacomo Sereni (202-84) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Palestrina and five Catanzaro players scored in double figures. Palestrina maintains third place in B with 10-3 record having just two points less than leader Forli, which they share with Bergamo and Crema. Loser Catanzaro keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Palestrina will meet at home Scauri (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Catanzaro will play against Cassino and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
