Fourteenth-ranked Cocinas.com (4-10) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Castello (8-6) in Castellon. Castello managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-19. But Cocinas.com won second period 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Castello forced 24 Cocinas.com turnovers. Naturalized Argentinian forward Alejandro Bortolussi (202-89) notched 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Brandon Garrett (206-90, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) supported him with 15 points. Four Castello players scored in double figures. Castello's coach Toni Ten allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 23 points and 6 rebounds by American-French guard Alfredo Ott (190-83, college: Dillard) did not help to save the game for Cocinas.com. American power forward Mike Carlson (206-91, college: Truman St.) added 17 points for the guests. Castello moved-up to fifth place, which they share with FC Barcelona II and Oviedo. Cocinas.com at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Castello's next round opponent will be Oviedo CB (#5) on the road. Cocinas.com will play against Lobe Huesca (#8) and hope to win that game.
