Regular Season Round 13: Sangiorgese - Desio 74-83

Rather predictable result in San Giorgio where ninth ranked Desio (6-7) defeated 12th ranked Sangiorgese (4-9) 83-74 on Sunday. Center Filippo Politi (205-80) stepped up and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners and forward Edoardo Gallazzi (199-86) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Alessandro Priuli (200-86, agency: Players Group) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and point guard Andrea Tassinari (182-96) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Desio moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Volpino. Sangiorgese lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Desio will face Padova (#14) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sangiorgese will play against Pavia and hope to win that game.
