Very predictable result when fourth ranked Santarcangelo (10-3) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Trecate (0-13) 84-75 on Sunday. Santarcangelo made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Trecate was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Luca Bedetti (193-89, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 29 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and point guard Luca Pesaresi (180-89) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Five Santarcangelo players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Patrick Grossini (193-79) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Riccardo Peroni (182-92) scored 18 points. Trecate's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Santarcangelo moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Bergamo and Crema. Trecate at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Santarcangelo will face league's second-placed Cecina at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Trecate will play against Valsesia (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
