SM-sarja top team - Catz Lappeenranta (17-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Pyrinto (2-12) in Tampere 86-53. The game without a history. Catz Lappeenranta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Pyrinto's 24. Catz Lappeenranta forced 21 Pyrinto turnovers. American players dominated the game. Guard Jennifer Schlott (168-91, college: Utah St., agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Chandra Harris (185-89, college: Georgia St.) chipped in 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Catz Lappeenranta players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Keira Peak (175-91, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) responded with 8 points and 9 rebounds and forward Mollie Williams (187-90, college: Washington) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Catz Lappeenranta. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-1 record. Pyrinto lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
