There was no surprise in Tehran where 9th ranked Ayandeh Sazan (2-11) was edged by seventh ranked Samen (6-7) 64-62 on Monday. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 64-62. Samen forced 21 Ayandeh Sazan turnovers. Ayandeh Sazan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international forward Nima Bakhshi (198-89) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian power forward Povilas Cukinas (210-83) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Samen's coach Mehdi Sahebian used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
