Regular Season Round 14: Dijon - Monaco 65-59

Date: December 22, 2015
The most important game in the last round took place in JDA Dijon between second ranked Monaco (10-4) and fifth ranked JDA Dijon (9-4) on Tuesday night. Monaco was defeated by JDA Dijon in a tough game on the road 59-65. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Monaco. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 18-6 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. JDA Dijon dominated on the defensive end, holding Monaco to just 6 points in third quarter. 24 personal fouls committed by Monaco helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was naturalized Chadian forward Jacques Alingue (201-88) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. American power forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four JDA Dijon players scored in double figures. Naturalized Mali forward Amara Sy (202-81, agency: Comsport) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (200-84, college: Hofstra) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. JDA Dijon moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Le Mans and Strasbourg. Newly promoted Monaco dropped to the third position with four games lost. JDA Dijon is looking forward to face Le Mans (#4) on the road in the next round. Monaco will play against the league's leader ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
