Regular Season Round 20: DongGuan L. - Shandong FB 94-108

Date: December 22, 2015
Rather expected game when 9th ranked DongGuan Leopards (12-9) were defeated at home by sixth ranked Shandong Bulls (14-7) 108-94. It looked good early as DongGuan Leopards took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Shandong Bulls took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 14 points. Shandong Bulls outrebounded DongGuan Leopards 47-36 including 32 on the defensive glass. DongGuan Leopards were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) supported him with 25 points and 8 assists. Even 30 points by American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) did not help to save the game for DongGuan Leopards. His fellow American import Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St., agency: Priority Sports) added 7 points and 11 rebounds for the hosts. Five Shandong Bulls and four DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shandong Bulls have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 14-7 record. DongGuan Leopards at the other side keep the ninth place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
