We should mention about the upset which took place in Macae, where higher ranked Sao Jose/Vinac (5-7) lost to thirteenth ranked Macae (4-9) in a road game 63-79. The game without a history. Macae led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Eddy Carvalho (196-87) notched 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Andre Bresolin (195-87) supported him with 17 points and 5 steals. Four Macae players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by guard Caue Freitas (188-88) did not help to save the game for Sao Jose/Vinac. Power forward Renato Carbonari (206-87) added 11 points and 4 assists for the guests. Sao Jose/Vinac's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Macae maintains thirteenth position with 4-9 record. Sao Jose/Vinac at the other side keeps the ninth place with seven games lost.
