Very predictable result when third ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (10-3) outscored on the road bottom-ranked STB Le Havre (1-13) 83-63 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Gravelines-Dunkerque. STB Le Havre was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gravelines-Dunkerque made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 STB Le Havre turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Gravelines-Dunkerque especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. American center Elton Brown (206-83, college: Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 10 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gravelines-Dunkerque have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. STB Le Havre lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Gravelines-Dunkerque will face Olympique Antibes (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. STB Le Havre will play against Paris-Levallois (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
