No shocking result in a game in Yingkou where first ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (19-2) defeated 5th ranked Liaoning Hunters (14-7) 99-92 on Wednesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Liaoning Hunters won third quarter 24-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Zhejiang Guangsha Lions won last quarter 26-21. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions had a 43-31 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Taiwanese guard Chih-Chieh Lin (192-82) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Four Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and five Liaoning Hunters players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-2 record. Liaoning Hunters at the other side keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will face Beijing Ducks (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Liaoning Hunters will play against Guandong Tigers in Dongguan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
