Round 13 in Serie A means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Sassari where host Banco di Srd (8-5) crushed league's leader Grissin Bon RE (9-4) 91-69 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Grissin Bon RE. Banco di Srd shot 61.7 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. American-Polish guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) fired 25 points and 8 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American-Georgian point guard Marquez Haynes (191-86, college: Texas Arlington) chipped in 15 points and 9 assists. Five Banco di Srd players scored in double figures. Belarusian-Russian forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Pietro Aradori (194-88) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place. Grissin Bon RE at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Vanoli CR who have the same record. Grissin Bon RE will play next round against Openjobmetis VA trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Banco di Srd will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Giorgo Tesi PT in Pistoia.
