Regular Season Round 12: MKS DG - Polpharma 74-57
Date: December 23, 2015
There was no surprise when 17th ranked Polpharma (1-11) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (6-7) 74-57 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by MKS Dabrowa Gornicza. Polpharma was better in second period 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Piotr Pamula (195-90) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and American power forward Sam Dower (206-90, college: Gonzaga) who added 8 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Damien Kinloch (203-80, college: Tenn Tech) with 12 points and 8 rebounds and forward Lukasz Diduszko (196-86) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Stal Ostrow and Wilki Morskie. Polpharma lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will face higher ranked Energa Czarni (#6) in Slupsk in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Polpharma will play at home against Asseco (#5) and hope to win that game.
