Regular Season Round 14: Limoges - Strasbourg 64-76

Date: December 23, 2015
There was no surprise when 11th ranked Limoges CSP Elite (6-8) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Strasbourg IG (9-4) 76-64 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Strasbourg IG. Limoges CSP Elite was better in third quarter 18-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strasbourg IG looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kyle Weems (198-89, college: Missouri St.) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. International forward Jeremy Leloup (202-87, agency: Comsport) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International forward Nobel Boungou-Colo (202-88) produced 13 points and German point guard Heiko Schaffartzik (183-84) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Limoges CSP Elite's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Strasbourg IG moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Dijon and Le Mans. Defending champion Limoges CSP Elite keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. Strasbourg IG will face Sluc Nancy (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
