The most exciting game of round 14 in the Superleague took place in Tehran. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-ranked Chemidor (10-4) to fifth ranked Azad (9-5) 70-67 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chemidor. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-67. Azad forced 21 Chemidor turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Azad made 7 blocks. Azad have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 9-5 record. Newly promoted Chemidor keeps the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Arak and Naft Abadan. Azad are looking forward to face Samen (#7) in Mash'had in the next round. Chemidor will play on the road against Arak (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
