No shocking result in a game when third ranked Okapi Aalstar (7-4) beat at home bottom-ranked Leuven Bears (1-10) 88-81 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 7 points. Okapi Aalstar looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP, agency: Pensack Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 14 points and 8 assists. Even 20 points, 5 assists and 4 steals by American guard Andre Hollins (188-92, college: Minnesota, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Leuven Bears. Forward Thomas De Thaey (203-91, college: N.Carolina St.) added 14 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Four Okapi Aalstar and five Leuven Bears players scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-4 record having five points less than leader Oostende. Leuven Bears lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Okapi Aalstar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Leuven Bears will play against the league's second-placed Spirou Charleroi (#2) and hope to win that game.
