Date: December 27, 2015
Leader Al Sadd delivered the eighth victory. This time they beat 9th ranked Al Ahli (1-8) 88-74 in Doha. The game was mostly controlled by Al Sadd. Al Ahli was better in third quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Al Sadd players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Al Ahli's players. Ivorian-French center Mohamed Kone (211-81, college: Valparaiso) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and international swingman Khalid Abdi (198-87) supported him with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Even 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by American forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Haylett Sports) did not help to save the game for Al Ahli. American-Togolese guard Jimmy Williams (196-86, college: Alders.-Broad.) added 24 points for lost side. Four Al Ahli players scored in double figures. Al Ahli's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Al Sadd maintains first position with 8-1 record, which they share with Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa. Al Ahli at the other side keeps the ninth place with eight games lost.
