Regular Season Round 23: Jiangsu TX - DongGuan L. 113-91
Date: December 27, 2015
An interesting game took place in Jiangsu where higher ranked DongGuan Leopards (12-11) were upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Jiangsu TX (9-14) 113-91 on Sunday. The game without a history. Jiangsu TX led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to DongGuan Leopards' 44 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded DongGuan Leopards 56-40 including a 41-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds. Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa, agency: Priority Sports) helped adding 22 points and 16 rebounds. International forward QuAn Gu (202-92) responded with 31 points and American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Jiangsu TX and five DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jiangsu TX moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Jiangsu D. and North Control B. DongGuan Leopards lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Jiangsu TX will face Bayi Rockets (#18) in Ningbo in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
