Regular Season Round 12: Stal Ostrow - Siarka 71-67

Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (6-7) beat at home 13th ranked Stabill Jezioro (4-8) 71-67 on Sunday. Stabill Jezioro trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 27-14 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 67-71 at the end of the game. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. outrebounded Stabill Jezioro 40-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Cameroonian center Alexis Wangmene (205-89, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Curtis Millage (188-81, college: Arizona St.) who added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Jakub Zalewski (184-86) with 18 points and American center Zach Robbins (208-91, college: Dixie St.) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Stabill Jezioro players scored in double figures. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. moved-up to ninth place, which they share with MKS DG and Wilki Morskie. Stabill Jezioro at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. will face league's leader Stelmet in Zielona Gora in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Stabill Jezioro will play at home against PGE Turow (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
