There was no surprise when 16th ranked Moncalieri (1-13) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Lecco (8-6) 88-79 on Sunday. Lecco looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) who scored 30 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Andrea Dagnello (190-91) chipped in 25 points. The former international power forward Francesco Conti (205-83) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Leone Gioria (194-84) added 23 points respectively for the guests. Lecco moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Vicenza. Moncalieri lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 13 games lost. Lecco will face Sangiorgese (#13) in San Giorgio in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Moncalieri will play at home against Volpino and hope to win that game.
