Regular Season Round 23: Sichuan BW - Guangsha L. 135-98

The game between Top Four teams took place in Sichuan. Third ranked host Sichuan BW (18-5) smashed second-ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (19-4) 135-98. The game was mostly controlled by Sichuan BW. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions managed to win fourth quarter 27-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sichuan BW made 25-of-25 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Sichuan BW outrebounded Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 47-36 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sichuan BW made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) helped adding 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Sichuan BW players scored in double figures. Sichuan BW's coach XueZeng Yang felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga, agency: Priority Sports) responded with 31 points and 5 assists and center Zheng Wang (216-90) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Sichuan BW have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 18-5 record having just two points less than leader Xinjiang FT. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side keep the second position with four games lost. Sichuan BW are looking forward to face Shanxi Zhongyu (#16) in Taiyuan in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play at home against Shanghai Sharks (#10) and are hoping to win this game.
