Toros (0-1) recorded a loss in Maracay. Hosts were defeated by Cocodrilos (2-1) 95-87. The guests were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 30-24 Toros' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 95-87 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Toros 44-22 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Carl Elliott (193-83, college: G.Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Yochuar Palacios (196-85) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists. Cocodrilos' coach Nestor Salazar used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) with 19 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Rafael Perez (193-82, agency: Paris Global Sports) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cocodrilos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toros will play again at home against Cocodrilos (#3) and hope to get finally their first victory.
