Important game to mention about was the one when seventh ranked Bank of Taiwan (2-8) saved a 3-point victory edging 5th ranked Fubon Braves (4-7) 73-70 on Sunday evening. Bank of Taiwan took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 15-10. But Fubon Braves won second period 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bank of Taiwan made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Fubon Braves outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 54-42 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Fubon Braves were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks. The former international forward Shun-Hsiang Chen (190-85) contributed with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Bank of Taiwan players scored in double figures. American center Earl Barron (211-81, college: Memphis) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 21 rebounds and guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Fubon Braves. Bank of Taiwan maintains seventh position with 2-8 record. Fubon Braves lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Bank of Taiwan will play against league's leader Pure Youth in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Fubon Braves will play against Yulon Luxgen (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
