Very predictable result in Tenerife where leader Valencia Basket (13-0) defeated 14th ranked CB Canarias (4-9) 86-82 on Sunday. CB Canarias trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 30-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-86 at the end of the game. American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU, agency: Priority Sports) stepped up and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side forward Javier Beiran (200-87) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Argentinian-Italian point guard Nicolas Richotti (183-86) scored 16 points and 7 assists. Four Valencia Basket and five CB Canarias players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Valencia Basket have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. CB Canarias lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Valencia Basket will face Unicaja Malaga (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
