Very expected game in Roma where 8th ranked Scauri (7-7) was defeated by fourth ranked Palestrina (11-3) 82-69 on Sunday. Palestrina made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Filippo Gagliardo (206-78) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Four Palestrina players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian guard Ariel Svoboda (192-85) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Palestrina moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Bergamo. Newly promoted Scauri keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Palestrina will face Empoli (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Scauri will play against Maddaloni and hope to win that game.
