Regular Season Round 15: Arak - Chemidor 90-76

An interesting game for Arak (11-4) which hosted in Arak 4th placed Chemidor (10-5). Third ranked Arak managed to get a 14-point victory 90-76. Chemidor was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 51-36 second half run of Arak. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Chemidor's 28. It was a great evening for international center Asghar Kardoust (212-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds. Croatian power forward Zvonko Buljan (206-87, college: TCU) helped adding 23 points. Four Arak players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-94) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian center Jasonn Hannibal (211-88, college: Portland) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Arak have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Naft Abadan. Chemidor at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Azad. Arak will play against league's leader Petrochimi in Bandar Imam in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chemidor will play on the road against Shah.Tabriz and hopes to get back on the winning track.
