Regular Season Round 15: Oviedo - Castello 75-71

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Oviedo CB and 6th ranked Castello had identical 8-6 record. This time Oviedo CB used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Castellon 75-71 on Wednesday night. Castello trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 23-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-75 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American forward Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB) who led his team to a victory with 23 points. Point guard Ferran Bassas (183-92) contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Argentinian forward Alejandro Bortolussi (202-89) answered with 12 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Brandon Garrett (206-90, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Castello. Four Castello players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Oviedo CB (9-6) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Burgos. Newly promoted Castello keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Oviedo CB will face Lobe Huesca (#8) at home in the next round. Castello will play against Caceres Basket and hope to win that game.
