Regular Season Round 11: Fubon Braves - Yulon Luxgen 72-75

Important game to mention about was the one when third ranked Yulon Luxgen (8-5) saved a 3-point victory edging 5th ranked Fubon Braves (4-9) 75-72 on Thursday evening. Fubon Braves were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for the former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. American center James Tyler (218-88) helped adding 9 points and 17 rebounds. Tyler is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American center Earl Barron (211-81, college: Memphis) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and Yu-Lin Chang (190-86) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Yulon Luxgen have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 8-5 record having just three points less than leader Pure Youth. Newly promoted Fubon Braves keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Yulon Luxgen will play against league's second-placed Taiwan Beer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fubon Braves will play against KKL and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
