The most exciting game of round 15 in the Winner League took place in Rishon Le-Zion. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd placed Maccabi Rishon (9-6) to fifth ranked Bnei Hasharon (9-6) 73-71 in the game for the third place. Bnei Hasharon outrebounded Maccabi Rishon 37-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Aviram Zelkovits (192-89) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American point guard Mark Lyons (185-89, college: Arizona) answered with 19 points and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi Rishon. Four Maccabi Rishon players scored in double figures. Bnei Hasharon moved-up to third place, which they share with Maccabi Rishon and Maccabi Haifa. Maccabi Rishon lost third consecutive game. Bnei Hasharon is looking forward to face Maccabi Haifa (#5) on the road in the next round. Maccabi Rishon will play against Hapoel Holon and is hoping to win this game.
