Regular Season Round 25: Jilin NE T. - Fujian QB 114-107

There was a surprise result when seventeenth ranked Jilin Tigers (7-18) won against higher ranked Fujian (10-15) in Changchun 114-107 on Friday. Fujian trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 28-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 107-114 at the end of the game. Quite impressive performance for American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Jinming Cui (193-92) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-91, college: Louisville) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and international swingman TaiLong Zhao (193-90) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Fujian. Five Jilin Tigers and four Fujian players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Jilin Tigers maintains seventeenth place with 7-18 record. Loser Fujian dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Jilin Tigers will face higher ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#3) in Hangzhou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
