Regular Season Round 12: Bendigo - Canberra 78-68

Bottom-ranked Canberra Capitals is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 16th consecutive match to fourth ranked Bendigo Spirit (10-7) 78-68. The game was mostly controlled by Bendigo Spirit. Canberra Capitals was better in fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and the former international Belinda Snell (180-81) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Denesha Stallworth (190-92, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) with 31 points and 6 rebounds and her fellow American import point guard Renee Montgomery (170-86, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bendigo Spirit maintains fourth position with 10-7 record. Canberra Capitals at the other side still closes the standings. Bendigo Spirit will play against Boomers (#7) in Melbourne in the next round. Canberra Capitals will play at home against the league's second-placed Perth Lynx and hope to get finally their first victory.
