Regular Season Round 29: Okinawa GK - Kanazawa Samuraiz 84-86

A very close game took place in Okinawa between Kanazawa Samuraiz and Okinawa GK. Seventh ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (13-15) got a very close victory on the road over 4th placed Okinawa GK (19-8). Kanazawa Samuraiz managed to escape with a 2-point win 86-84 on Saturday evening. Okinawa GK was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 29-21 charge of Kanazawa Samuraiz, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) stepped up and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Marshall Brown (200-85, college: Missouri) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Kanazawa Samuraiz and four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. Kanazawa Samuraiz maintains seventh place with 13-15 record. Okinawa GK at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
