Regular Season Round 13: Rosa III Radom - AZS UMCS 49-90

No shocking result in a game when second ranked AZS UMCS (9-4) outleveled on the road 9th ranked Rosa III Radom (4-9) 90-49 on Saturday. AZS UMCS dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Rosa III Radom's 34. AZS UMCS forced 22 Rosa III Radom turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Rosa III Radom's players. Forward Rafal Krol (200-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winners and swingman Bartlomiej Karolak (198-92) chipped in 27 points. At the losing side Mikolaj Stopierzynski (190-94) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Patryk Wydra (182-97) scored 5 points. Rosa III Radom's coach Dawid Mazur gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for AZS UMCS. They maintain second place in Group B with 9-4 record having just three points less than leader Kotwica, which they share with LKS Lodz. Newly promoted Rosa III Radom keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. AZS UMCS will face league's second-placed LKS Lodz at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rosa III Radom will play against Shmoolky W-wa (#6) in Warszawa and hope to win that game.
