Regular Season Round 13: Olesnica - Sudety 55-62

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Sudety's (6-7) road victory over 9th ranked Olesnica (4-9) 62-55 on Saturday. Sudety dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Olesnica's 22. They outrebounded Olesnica 40-25 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Karol Wojciul (200-91) stepped up and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) chipped in 19 points. At the losing side swingman Grzegorz Kaczmarek (193-83) responded with 18 points and 4 assists and Kacper Kuta (191-94) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Olesnica's coach Piotr Gliniak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sudety moved-up to seventh place in Group D. Newly promoted Olesnica dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Sudety will face league's leader Polonia Leszno on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olesnica will play against Nowa Sol (#4) and hope to win that game.
