The game in Crestmead was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Dandenong Rangers (9-6) played at the court of 6th ranked SEQ (8-8). Dandenong Rangers managed to secure a 6-point victory 72-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SEQ. It looked good early as SEQ took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dandenong Rangers had a 26-12 second period charge getting the lead and SEQ was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-72. Dandenong Rangers made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Strangely SEQ outrebounded Dandenong Rangers 46-32 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Stephanie Cumming (178-90) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Annalise Pickrel (190-92, college: Michigan St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Rebecca Allen (185-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Rachel Jarry (185-91) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Dandenong Rangers maintains fifth position with 9-6 record. Newly promoted SEQ keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. Dandenong Rangers' next round opponent will be higher ranked Sydney Uni Flames (#3) at home and it may be quite challenging game. SEQ will play against the league's leader Townsville Fire and hope to win that game.
