Regular Season Round 15: Jamtland - Sundsvall 86-95

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked KFUM Jamtland (6-12) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Sundsvall Dragons (12-7) 95-86 on Sunday. KFUM Jamtland trailed by 16 points at halftime and as many as 19 after three quarters before a 29-19 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 86-95 at the end of the game. Sundsvall Dragons made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. KFUM Jamtland was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Charles Barton (193-92, college: Oregon St.) who scored 27 points and 6 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Latvian forward Ernests Kalve (200-87, agency: HMS) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Sundsvall Dragons players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and the other American import forward Najee White (203-90, college: Bowie St.) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Sundsvall Dragons have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 12-7 record. KFUM Jamtland lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Sundsvall Dragons will have a break next round. KFUM Jamtland will play at home against LF Basket (#5) and hope to win that game.
