Regular Season Round 13: Start Lublin II - Stal SW 69-62

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Stal SW (5-8) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Start Lublin II (4-9) 69-62 on Sunday. Stal SW was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Alan Czujkowski (198-90, agency: Promotex) stepped up and scored 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and forward Bartosz Ciechocinski (203-91) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Rafal Partyka (184-79) responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and power forward Przemyslaw Galewski (199-91) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Stal SW players scored in double figures. Stal SW's coach Robert Grzyb rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Start Lublin II moved-up to ninth place in Group B, which they share with Rosa III Radom and Tur Bielsk Pdl. Stal SW at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Start Lublin II will face Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#11) in Bielsk Podlaski in the next round.
