Regular Season Round 29: Okinawa GK - Kanazawa Samuraiz 87-83

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (13-15) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Okinawa GK (19-8) 87-83. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-15. But Kanazawa Samuraiz won second period 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Okinawa GK players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) accounted for 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Marshall Brown (200-85, college: Missouri) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Kanazawa Samuraiz in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Okinawa GK maintains fourth place with 19-8 record. Kanazawa Samuraiz at the other side keeps the seventh position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
